Complete the Electron replacement boundary before merging by removing the renderer-side Tauri host fallback, tightening H5/browser access so only desktop navigation is tokenless, and moving desktop release publication to a tag-driven GitHub Actions matrix with a single final publish job.
Constraint: H5/browser capability access must not gain tokenless access through localhost or retired Tauri origins
Constraint: Desktop release artifacts must be built by GitHub Actions from version tags, not treated as local build outputs
Rejected: Keep localhost browser origins trusted for convenience | local browser contexts can access loopback services and must use the H5 token path
Rejected: Publish from each matrix job | partial releases can be created before all platforms finish

Introduce the Electron desktop shell alongside the existing React renderer and local Bun server boundary. The migration keeps the DesktopHost contract explicit across Tauri, Electron, and browser runtimes while adding Electron main/preload services for dialogs, shell, notifications, updates, tray/window lifecycle, terminal, preview WebContentsView, app mode, and release/package validation.
The commit also carries the latest local main desktop command updates, including agent slash entries and hidden-by-default markdown thinking details, so the packaged Electron build matches the current main UX surface.
Constraint: React renderer, local Bun server, REST/WebSocket, and sidecar boundaries must remain reusable during the migration

Desktop users have different multiline habits, and issue #631 calls out that Enter-only submission is too easy to trigger. This adds a persisted General setting that keeps Enter-send as the default while allowing Ctrl/Cmd+Enter submission for users who want plain Enter to insert a newline.

Settings General now owns AI request timeout and proxy policy so Anthropic-native and OpenAI-compatible provider paths share one user-visible control. The desktop UI persists the network settings, the server proxy and provider checks read them directly, and CLI sessions receive the same timeout/proxy environment.
Constraint: Provider request behavior must be consistent across Anthropic, OpenAI Chat, and OpenAI Responses formats
Rejected: Keep preset API_TIMEOUT_MS precedence | it would make the General timeout control unreliable for some providers

The previous portable-mode settings were hard to discover and mostly
explained through environment variables. Users could not pick a target
folder from the desktop UI or clearly understand which config directory
would become active after switching modes.
This moves the control to a lower-priority storage section, makes the
active directory source explicit, supports choosing a portable data
folder, and prepares the desktop app for a controlled restart so the
new storage location takes effect.
Constraint: Directory picking and relaunch require the Tauri desktop runtime

Remote main carries portable-mode, legacy Windows workdir recovery, and Feishu path-safety fixes while local main carries terminal shell, update proxy, slash-command, prompt-draft, AskUserQuestion, background-work, and shell-env changes. This merge keeps both lines by layering portable Bash-path defaults underneath the desktop terminal shell preference and preserving both update-proxy and app-mode settings state.
Constraint: Local main and origin/main diverged after v0.2.7 and both lines contain release-relevant desktop/runtime fixes
Rejected: Prefer either side's terminal settings wholesale | would drop either Windows portable Bash support or explicit desktop startup-shell support

Desktop update downloads currently depend on the updater HTTP stack and can miss the proxy users already rely on for GitHub access. The change enables OS proxy discovery in the native updater client and adds a narrow manual proxy fallback scoped only to update checks and package downloads.
Constraint: Tauri updater carries the proxy from check through download, so changing proxy settings after a check must discard the pending update and re-check before install
Rejected: Reuse provider proxy settings | provider traffic and updater traffic have different scope and persistence risks

The desktop terminal defaulted to COMSPEC on Windows, which commonly lands on cmd.exe and makes the settings terminal feel broken for users who expect PowerShell. This change adds a desktop-only terminal startup-shell setting in Settings, keeps the existing system default untouched unless the user opts in, and resolves the selected shell inside the Tauri PTY spawn path so docked terminals, terminal tabs, and the settings terminal stay aligned.
Constraint: Existing terminal sessions and non-Windows defaults must keep their current behavior unless a Windows user explicitly changes the setting
Rejected: Reuse settings.defaultShell | that setting already controls CLI ! commands and would couple unrelated shell semantics
Rejected: Flip Windows default to pwsh automatically | too risky for users whose current COMSPEC-based terminal already works

The contributor PR adds useful Windows terminal and portable mode support, but it also reintroduced an older General settings zoom block and left the new native settings paths without enough regression coverage. Desktop sessions must treat the global Thinking toggle as the source of truth across active CLI sessions, title generation, and provider-compatible request bodies. DeepSeek-style streams can start with reasoning blocks before text, so the WebSocket bridge now keeps the UI in thinking state until text content actually starts.
Constraint: DeepSeek and MiniMax use Anthropic-compatible surfaces but expose thinking behavior through provider-specific request and stream shapes
Rejected: Keep provider-specific disabled-thinking env defaults | stale defaults kept overriding the user's global Thinking setting

PR #428 added a General Settings zoom slider after the desktop shortcut work already introduced a native-first app zoom controller. Keeping both paths would create double scaling and stale UI state, so the slider now routes through the existing controller and store state while the app shell no longer applies a second CSS zoom.
Constraint: UI zoom is device-local display state and should not be written into shared user settings.
Rejected: Keep cc-haha-ui-zoom plus AppShell style.zoom | it conflicts with shortcut zoom and multiplies visual scale.
Rejected: Persist zoom through /api/settings/user | it would sync display-specific state across machines.

The pure white appearance option needed to avoid warm-theme leakage while preserving the existing warm classic brand theme. This adds the white theme mode, keeps local browser startup from reusing stale H5 server URLs in dev, and moves visible legacy warm surfaces onto theme tokens.
Constraint: H5 server auth policy, CORS policy, SDK routes, adapter routes, and IM access paths must not change for a visual theme fix
Rejected: Rename the original light theme to pure white | the original theme is a warm classic palette, not a neutral white workspace

Limit the legacy fallback to missing H5 endpoints, preserve last known H5 settings on real load failures, and move the generated token lifetime into the General settings component so the raw token clears after copy or timeout instead of living in global state.

Desktop notifications were enabled by default and depended on the Tauri notification plugin for both permission state and delivery. On macOS the plugin reports desktop permission as granted and can hide foreground delivery failures, so authorization prompts could appear in the app without a real system notification.
This moves macOS permission and delivery through a native UserNotifications bridge, keeps notifications opt-in by default, and sends a test notification after successful authorization.
Constraint: Tauri notification plugin desktop permission state is always granted.
Constraint: macOS foreground delivery needs explicit native presentation handling.

Add native system notifications as a desktop-wide attention channel for permission prompts and scheduled task completion. The implementation keeps notification presentation owned by the OS, adds a user-facing enable switch with permission handling, and lets scheduled tasks choose desktop notifications without routing that channel through IM adapters.
Constraint: Notifications must use OS-native APIs without custom sound playback.
Constraint: Desktop channel is local-only and must not be sent through IM adapter delivery.
Rejected: Browser Notification API | not reliable inside the packaged Tauri desktop runtime.
Rejected: Treat desktop as an IM channel | would leak a local-only channel into server-side adapter sending.

Desktop sessions can switch provider and model while a CLI subprocess is already alive, so the server now serializes runtime restarts and marks provider-managed launches to prevent stale settings env from overriding the selected provider. Provider settings also write API key env consistently and clear stale managed keys before syncing.
This includes the related desktop/docs brand asset refresh and keeps the desktop locale default in Chinese, with tests updated to match the current provider semantics.
Constraint: Session-scoped model selection must win over cc-haha/settings.json and inherited ANTHROPIC_* values.
